What is Geopolitica?

Geopolitica is a geopolitical factions server set in the World War I era. To make the server as immersive as possible, we have overhauled many of the vanilla features in Minecraft to make a very unique experience. Some notable features/plugins we have are: custom guns, armor, artillery, Movecraft, and our very own GDP system!

Getting help

If you need help open a ticket on our discord server by locating the #support channel.

First time joining

When you first join you will find yourself at spawn. Take a look around if you want! To leave spawn you will need to either join a faction or teleport to a random location using the command /rtp location [LOCATION]. Fill in the [LOCATION] section of the command one of the autofill options presented to you.

Travel

Teleportation on the server is very limited but we do provide a few options.

  • Home - First find a location you wish to set your home at then enter the command /sethome and use /home when you wish to return to that location. You only have one home.

  • Faction home - Faction homes are set by your faction leader. Faction homes are set by entering the command /f sethome and to teleport to the faction you enter the command /f home. Factions only have one home.

  • Faction warps - Faction warps are teleportation points that can be set and used by a faction within their borders. Faction leaders can set warps by entering the command /f setwarp [WARP NAME] and warp can be used by entering the command /f warp [WARP NAME]. Factions can only have three warps.

Movecraft is also a great option for moving around the map quickly. More information about movecraft be found in the 'Movecraft' section of the wiki.

You can fly in chunks your faction controls. To do this enter the command /f fly. Flying will be disabled during wars.

Horses, donkeys, and camels all travel faster on andesite, stone, cobblestone, stone bricks, brick, and gravel.

Chat Commands

You can use the command /f chat to switch between different channels, including public, faction, ally, and truce channels. To mute global chat, enter the command /ch and click on "global".

Economy

Making money is quite simple on the server. You can sell the following items to earn income:

  • Iron ingots

  • Gold ingots

  • Diamonds

  • All crops

You can sell these items using the shop. To access the shop, enter the command /shop or you can sell your items by entering the command /sellall hand to sell whatever item is in your hand.

You can also enter sieges, and by winning, you can earn income (See more in the Sieges section). Another great way of earning money is to run trade missions using Trade Posts (See more under Trade Posts).

Custom recipes/items

The server has many custom recipes and items. You can find all by entering the command /recipes while on the server.

Shop

As mentioned earlier, the server has a GUI shop that you can use. To access it enter the command /shop. In this shop, you can find many items and blocks for purchase.

Factions

Land claims are called factions on the server. Factions claim land/chunks to protect from PvP, mobs, and griefing.

Factions on the server have limits on how many chunks they can claim (Power). Factions can increase this power by inviting more members (stops generating power after a certain threshold) or by utilizing the GDP System.

Joining

To invite a player to your faction enter the command /f invite. To accept an invite enter the command /f join.

Creating

To create a faction on the server enter the command /f create.

Claiming

To claim chunks for your faction quickly, outline the land you wish you claim by first entering the command /f autoclaim. This will claim the chunks you walk into for your faction. Once your outline is complete toggle off autoclaim mode by entering the command again, then enter inside the outline and enter the command /f claimfill.

More Commands

To find more information and commands enter the command /f help.

GDP System

The GDP system is what the markers are all over the map on the server's live map. In the GDP system, factions build cities and upgrade them over time by adding more buildings to earn more faction power so that the faction can claim more chunks. Contact a staff member by creating a ticket through the #gdp-system channel to receive the bonuses of the GDP system.

City Management

Once your city is marked by staff, it will show in your faction's /f cities GUI and you can see how many and what cities your and other factions have by using the /f show command.

By default, only faction leaders will have the faction permission required to use the /f cities command. To give this permission out, use the /f perms interactive text menu and give permission: manage cities.

Once in the GUI menu, you can see all your faction's cities and the faction surplus. The surplus serves as a means to collect all items produced by buildings, which we will discuss further now. By clicking a city, you will enter that city's building panel and see all available slots. Clicking into a slot will display all the building types you can build. To build, click a building type and click CONFIRM. Once done, the building will be constructed.

To give only the player access to the faction surplus, give them the permission surplus, and use the command /f surplus.
